Do I get a record right after being charged with a crime?

A criminal charge has effects similar to a criminal record. As soon as the police lay a criminal charge, the information goes to the RCMP information centre.  However, it disappears if the court dismisses the criminal charge. It also disappears if the Crown withdraws the charge. However, an accused gets a permanent criminal record if the court finds her or him guilty.
